Neil Warnock says his Cardiff City players are enjoying the battle to preserve their top-flight status after the Bluebirds won their crunch game at Brighton 2-0 on Tuesday.
Cardiff picked up their third Premier League away win of the season thanks to goals by Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Sean Morrison.
The victory leaves them two points away from the Seagulls in the battle to avoid the drop, although Chris Hughton's side, who lost 5-0 at home to Bournemouth on Saturday, do have a game in hand on Cardiff.
"We're fighting," said Warnock after the match. "We've got a lot of guts and determination. Whatever happens you can't fault the lads.
"We've been kicked in the teeth so many times since Christmas and we keep bouncing back. We can only do our best. We've had disappointing performances this season but the lads give me everything.
"We looked as if we were enjoying the battle. We had some super performances and played some really good football at times. On another day we could have scored a few more goals."
Cardiff, 1/3 to be relegated, face Liverpool this weekend, with Warnock adding: "We're certainly not in it to make up the numbers."
Cardiff are 11/2 to draw with Jurgen Klopp's team and 12/1 to keep a clean sheet in the encounter.
